Since it opened less than a year ago, Jack in the Box has quickly won over the hearts of many for its uniquely stellar events and nice space. Unfortunately it has to close by the end of the year; only the good die young. Jack in the Box is one of the central locations of this year’s Telekom Electronic Beats Festival.

This year’s Telekom Electronic Beats Exhibition will feature installations and artworks that bring together music, art and technology. Under the thematic umbrella “Life is for Sharing,” the exhibition offers visitors new ways of interacting with electronic music. The featured artists engage a wide spectrum of abstract, concrete digital and analog approaches.

Musical host for the opening will be Joscha Creutzfeld, a member of the LA-based web radio collective dublab, whose genre defying DJ sets range from tropical soul to oddball disco, 80s NYC proto-house to percussive African workouts. Sounds like fun? It is!

On the exhibition’s second day, the music will be provided by Cologne’s own Jonathan Kaspar and Gregor Maria, who’ve been causing quite a stir lately with their techno and house infused sets.
